The Official Keeping Up Appearances Fan Club & Forum
Welcome to the Bucket residence (that is pronounced 'Bouquet'). To get full access to my house please log in or create an account, that way I will be assured that you are a truly superior person, who will not brush against my wallpaper! Don't forget to take your shoes off, as stains on my wood block flooring are a pain to remove.

By the way, Harold Snoad who is the director of Keeping Up Appearances, is our resident celebrity. That will show Mrs Barker-Finch who really has friends in high places!

Best Wishes,
Hyacinth Bucket

Hey,

I'm Tom, 14 years old and from the Netherlands. When I was searching at Google for a forum from Keeping Up Appearances, I saw this. I really like the show. I have all the DVD's (except for season 2).

When you have questions for me, you can ask me it. I don't want people not are interesting in me. I'm famous. xD

Should be 'there', when referring to a place use 'there', when referring to someone use 'their'. Wink

You want "As I have said". In English Tell (which should be Told because if English is going to have a past tense it's going to use it every chance it gets!) takes an object, you can't just "tell" something, you have to tell it to someone (or something, if you talk to pets and furniture).

As a side note, it's rare, at least in American English, that we use "Tell" without adding an ending, unless we're trying to order someone around.

It may be dangerous to ask me to correct your grammar! silent

I tought I wrote it wrong. xD The reason for my wrong English, is I'm just in the 2th grade of the VMBO (in England: Secondary vocational (translated with Google Translator)).

Isn't here somebody wo speaks Dutch/Netherlands/Hollands? Or German? It's very difficult for me to speak fully English. Netherlands and German I can speak.

In the interest of those who don't speak German...

I know German!

Sorry, but I told my English is not good. And I am better in German than English. Of coarse is my Dutch better, but I don't believe somebody here knows that language.
