The Official Keeping Up Appearances Fan Club & Forum
Welcome to the Bucket residence (that is pronounced 'Bouquet'). To get full access to my house please log in or create an account, that way I will be assured that you are a truly superior person, who will not brush against my wallpaper! Don't forget to take your shoes off, as stains on my wood block flooring are a pain to remove.

By the way, Harold Snoad who is the director of Keeping Up Appearances, is our resident celebrity. That will show Mrs Barker-Finch who really has friends in high places!

Best Wishes,
Hyacinth Bucket

Hi everyone, just joined this excellent fan site and forum. I'm a UK fan of Keeping Up Appearances, old enough to have seen it on its first transmission but young enough to have been at uni close to where it was filmed:I'm watching the DVD boxed set at the moment and often recognise Kenilworth, Leamington and Coventry. I often used to visit the teashop used in the holiday brochures episode from series 3 and they had a big display dedicated to the show!

Oh, and I was very distantly related to the late and much missed Geoffrey Hughes. I promise that's true though this being the interweb I'm sure no one will believe me!

Love to chat about the show. Thanks for having me Mrs Bucket, and I promise not to spill my coffee.

Thanks Periwinkles and all. This is by far the friendliest web forum I've been on!

It was a big framed display with signed cast photos and info on the filming and history of the show. IIRC it said that at the time (early 2000s, though it might have been up a few years then), the KUA sets were still in storage in case of another series!

Welcome! I'm rather sentimental, so the possibility of the sets being in storage is comforting.

Watched the episode today: I was wrong, it's actually in series 5 episode 7 "The Boy Friend" and its name, which can be seen on screen, is the Rocking Horse Coffee Shop. Still there today! therockinghorsecoffeeshop.co.uk
