The Official Keeping Up Appearances Fan Club & Forum
Welcome to the Bucket residence (that is pronounced 'Bouquet'). To get full access to my house please log in or create an account, that way I will be assured that you are a truly superior person, who will not brush against my wallpaper! Don't forget to take your shoes off, as stains on my wood block flooring are a pain to remove.

By the way, Harold Snoad who is the director of Keeping Up Appearances, is our resident celebrity. That will show Mrs Barker-Finch who really has friends in high places!

Best Wishes,
Hyacinth Bucket

Hi - I was excited to happen to come across this website, I've been a fan of BBC comedy sitcoms since the 90's, especially KUA since they were aired on PBS regularly, and have all the KUA DVD sets along with Are You Being Served and the Canadian Red Green Show. They all still air at times, but not as frequently as they used to, so I started purchasing all the DVD's.  I just joined so hope to find a lot of fun things to do on the website and to post in the forums.  It was REALLY hard to pick a favorite episode, they are all great, but I just happened to watch one that I hadn't seen since the 90's.

I picked Richard as my favorite for 2 reasons, you just have to feel for the guy who is so hen-pecked by Hyacinth, and also he's just a smooth, likeable guy. I rather toyed with Onslow as he is a cut-up, but Richard took top rank...

Happy to be here...

Eric

Thanks Waney. In the UK someone can BE cut-up eg "he lost his dog and he was really cut-up about it" but you wouldn't describe someone as A cut-up.
